Alpha is a series of sessions exploring life, faith and meaning.
What is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring life, faith and meaning. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone's welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, homes - you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a talk and good conversation.
The course at runs for 9 weeks and includes a day away on Saturday, 2nd March.
Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for anyone who's curious. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish.
How does it work?
The course is run between 19:00 and 20:45 at St John's. Each session starts with a meal followed by a short video and a discussion in a small group where you can share your thoughts.
Venue: St John's Church Hall
At any point, if you think Alpha isn't for you, that's not a problem. There's no pressure, no follow up and no charge.
How much does it cost?
Alpha is free for everyone.
If you would like to contribute towards the costs of running Alpha, a small donation towards the food each week would be welcome.
