Moses

Welcome to non-stop prayer:

As we look at Encountering Jesus in this prayer week we have started with this passage as it is an invitation for God to call you to Enconuetr him.

Moses is here on a normal day, doing a normal thing tending the flock. God is trying to get his attention. You have come into the church today, is the Lord trying to get your attention. Maybe God is saying come close, I have something to show you today.  I want to meet with you today. God desires to be close to His people. He isn’t a distant, unknowable god; He is the God who pursues people in order to have an intimate relationship with them. He wants to meet with YOU, NOW, TODAY.

God caught Moses’ attention; He said his name twice to get his attention. He does the same with us. I don’t know where you are today, how you have set foot in the church. Maybe you’re here in pain and grief or in joy and wonder or with questions and doubts. God is inviting you to Encounter him to come before him in awe and wonder. He wants relationship with you.

God, help me to come into your presence with an openness to meet with you. I accept your invitation.
